Ze beloven je de wereld maar gooien je er zo weer uit. Onrealistische doelstellingen en management wat alleen aan zichzelf denkt. Een hypocriete bedoening.

A typical day starts greeting the people at the office, checking the agenda and plans made for the day: interviews, reviews, documentation, emails to be sent. Speaking to the engagement contact persons, finding out their priorities and any inquires or comments, meeting with the engagement team reviewing the main points discussed with the employees in charge of the engagement and if needed adjusting the schedules. Before leaving the office, I review the tasks pending and completed, and verify if all necessary communication has been done. In addition, I adjust my priorities list.
Every day we learn something. For example how to deal with some especial situations, new ways of business, something about the sector, about procedures, about policies, about the organization, about other cultures and ways to work. I also have learned more about interviewing, and about audit.
At the company we perform the assignment we need to contact management for especial inquiries, discussions of important matters related to the assignment, and communication of results of the engagement.
Your co work in the engagement is your partner. Normally we discuss and comment matters related to the progress of the engagement and about specific topics regarding the engagement. We help each other to achieve the objectives and plans.
The hardest part of the work is getting in time the information we need for the engagement. The auditees need to perform a daily job, and in top of that they need to work with us. Sometimes they also need to work with external auditors or consultants. Continuous communication

The most enjoyable part of the work is to work with people (local and international), to travel, to learn a lot about the company, the businesses, and the sector, to be able to provide advice, and add value to the company.

Met een glimlach!

Wat ik belangrijk vind in een baan is dat je met een glimlach op je werk kom en ook weer met een glimlach weg gaat. Je moet kiezen voor een bedrijf waarin je past en waar je gelukkig wordt!
