Started to work here a few months ago. Applied for a job as Visual Merchandiser, but could only get work as weekendhelp.
Motivated and dedicated to develop myself as a visual merchandiser I asked to get the chance to develop myself (I already had experience as a stylist). The answer I received: 'You don't know the company. First you need to work fulltime and be flexible during the week AND weekend. After that you will start the pre-traject of serveral months where you will be part of the VM team. Afterwards the 'real' traject starts for a period of ten weeks. When you've finished this you will be placed in a different store to work as a visual for several months. This means you will have to dedicate your whole life to H&M, always being available to their needs. It takes over more than a year to become a visual merchandiser.
Don't waste your time and believe whatever they promise you! The hourly rate is only €9,69, they want you to work whenever THEY need you, they're always difficult when you want a day off and the staff doesn't except you when you're the newbee.
Nothing. You only get 20% discount in the H&M group stores (Monki, Weekday, Arket, Cos, &Other Stories)
Long days, low pay, disrespectful managers, 'vriendjespolitiek'
