Education and Student Affairs

The Education and Student Affairs (ESA) is the central service point for teachers and (prospective) students at Eindhoven University of Technology and provides services in the field of educational support, educational logistics, study skills, career guidance, use of ICT resources in education, professional skills and language education. In addition, ESA supports the Executive Board, the Deans of the Bachelor College and the Graduate School, as well as the faculties in the fields of education policy, legislation and regulations, quality assurance, training and institutional accreditation, educational innovation and internationalization. ESA has divided this support into four departments, namely the Central Student Administration (CSA), Teacher Support and Quality Assurance (TS&QA), Policy Advice and Projects (PA&P) and Student Facilities (SF).

Policy Advice and Projects

The coordinator of international projects will work within the Policy, Advice & Projects (PA&P) department. This department is primarily responsible for drawing up tactical and operational education policy and regulations, internationalization policy and the generation and interpretation of administrative information within the education domain. Experience and knowledge will be exchanged and collaborated within the policy chain that TU/e has set up in a broad sense. In addition, the department manages projects related to or resulting from education policy and its implementation and evaluation and above that the coordination of external collaborative projects.

Cooperation in EuroTeQ and EWUU

Our university is actively involved as full partner in several strategic alliances, like EuroTeQ, a cooperation with European Universities and EWUU a cooperation with Wageningen and Utrecht University

The overall goal of the EuroTeQ and EWUU collaboration is expanding their virtual campuses with the aim to foster and increase the mobility of students, staff and external learners between the partner universities involved in these alliances. To boost an entrepreneurial spirit among students and faculty staff and increase the seamless mobility of students between these partners.

The projects you focus on as a coordinator have the goal to expand the virtual campuses by offering courses and programs to the students and staff of all partners.

Job description: As coordinator of the projects of the strategic alliances mentioned, you are responsible for the organization of the availability of course information in both ways (from partners to TU/e and vice versa). You will be involved in implementing and executing workable solutions to reach the goals set by the management board of EuroTeQ and EWUU and more especially related to the work processes of its course catalogues. In addition, you attend the international EuroTeQ working group meetings, where you give input from TU/e perspective and play a role in implementing the decisions made in the project groups. In this task you will work closely together with one of the policy advisors. Your role to support these challenging projects is amongst many other things:

  • The practical organization of the EuroTeQ and EWUU course catalogues within the processes and timelines set;
  • Arrange the support of lecturers in close collaboration with colleagues from other service units and departments;
  • Provide information and support to internal and external project participants (students and staff);
  • To think along how to implement the EuroTeQ and EWUU project activities into the regular (line)organization of TU/e;
  • Represent TU/e in the project working groups;
  • Reporting to the relevant internal and external stakeholders.

This position is available on temporary funding for the EuroTeQ project and EWUU.

Job requirements

We are looking for a colleague who

  • Has a Bachelor (HBO) work and thinking level.
  • Has good communication skills on professional level in English and preferably also in Dutch.
  • Has Experience in higher education organization and/or support (preferably in a STEM environment).
  • Works customer-oriented
  • Has a result-oriented mentality.

Conditions of employment

  • A part-time job (0.6 fte).
  • A monthly salary of minimum €3,072.- to maximum 4,640.- for full-time employment, depending on your knowledge and experience (scale 9 collective labour agreement for Dutch Universities).
  • You will be appointed for 1 year based on a temporary contract upon external funding via EuroTeQ and EWUU with the possibility of extension the contract.
  • You may be employed through EuFlex, TU/e's secondment organization.
  • In addition to vacation allowance, a structural end-of-year bonus of 8.3%.
